Jim Olsen

Principal, Marketing Communications, Edward Jones

Jim Olsen joined the Edward Jones Marketing division in 2011, and today is responsible for Marketing Communications, which includes Marketing Operations, Branch Marketing, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Seminars and Events, Creative Services and the firm’s external advertising efforts. In addition, he has responsibility for the Canadian Marketing team.

Olsen was named a principal with the firm in 2014.

Prior to joining Edward Jones, Olsen spent 21 years in the consumer products industry serving in various sales, marketing and general management capacities.

He spent 11 years with Energizer in St. Louis and, most recently, served as the vice president of Marketing. In this role, he led brand and shopper marketing teams, brand communications, North American product strategies and the strategic planning process. Prior to assuming those responsibilities, Olsen led the firm’s Wal-Mart sales team, a global business unit, the Trade Marketing department and special projects. Prior to joining Energizer, Olsen held sales and management positions with Procter & Gamble and Spectrum Brands.

A graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, Olsen earned an MBA from Saint Louis University.
